California Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations Certification Print E-mail
  • Under California’s Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations, all insurers and licensees must provide to their claims agents and adjusters thorough and adequate training regarding the regulations. This training must be provided on an annual basis by September 1.

  • Since the inception of these regulations in 1993, Low Ball & Lynch has been providing this training, and certification of this training, to insurance carriers and third party administrators dealing with first and third party claims in California.

  • This training is designed to not only provide a thorough overview of the key sections of the regulations which impact day-to-day claims handling, but to also provide claims professionals with valuable insight and education into the Department of Insurance’s approach to enforcement of the regulations. Given the significant penalties that can be issued by the Department of Insurance for violations of the regulations, it is critical that claims professionals have a thorough and complete knowledge of the regulations.
