Legal Information Institute
: The LII is known internationally as a leading “law-not-com” provider of public legal information. They offer all opinions of the United States Supreme Court handed down since 1992, together with over 600 earlier decisions selected for their historic importance. they have the full United States Code and State Statutes.

Law Library of Congress: Congress established its Law Library in 1832, recognizing its need for ready access to reliable legal materials. The Law Library has grown over the years to become the world's largest law library, with a collection of over two million volumes spanning the ages and covering virtually every jurisdiction in the world.

THOMAS was launched in January of 1995, at the inception of the 104th Congress. The leadership of the 104th Congress directed the Library of Congress to make federal legislative information freely available to the public. Since that time THOMAS has expanded the scope of its offerings to include most activities in Congress.
